CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Cesarina Maria Capriotti Wysong, 70, of Charles Town, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

She was born Feb. 22, 1938, in Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Adamo S. Capriotti Sr. and Amelia Maria Saladini Capriotti.

She was a graduate of Scott Beauty College in Martinsburg, W.Va.; and, she owned and operated Cesarina's Salon in Charles Town, for more than 45 years.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town and St. Peter's Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry.

She was a member of the Harpers Ferry Alumni Association, Mountain State Council of the Blind, Jefferson County Fair Association, Jefferson County Cotillion Club, Jefferson County Historical Society and a former member of the Jefferson County Democratic Executive Committee.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, C. Locke Wysong Sr. at home; one daughter, Cesarina M. Wysong and one son, C. Locke Wysong Jr., both of Charles Town; two brothers, Adam S. Capriotti Jr. and wife, Rose, of Germantown, Md. and Eugene P. Capriotti and wife, Terri, of Harpers Ferry; one aunt, Dolly Saladini of Martinsburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Rose Capriotti.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 60 Crosswinds Drive, Charles Town, with the Rev. Fr. Larry Gesy as the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Harpers Ferry.

Viewing and visitation will be at her residence, 124 W. Congress St., Charles Town, anytime on Sunday and Monday.

Memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. Wysong may be sent to the Mountain State Council of the Blind, Eastern Panhandle Chapter, P.O. Box 2756, Martinsburg, WV 25402; or to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 60 Crosswinds Drive, Charles Town, WV 25414.
