Jonathan Street open until March

December 06, 2008|By DAN DEARTH

City Engineer Rodney Tissue said Jonathan Street in Hagerstown will remain open until March, when the street will be closed again to resume a project to replace water and sewer lines.

The street was reopened to traffic Nov. 21 after construction work was put on hold for the winter, Tissue said.

The project to overhaul Jonathan Street from the 200 block to Pennsylvania Avenue began in June. The work also will include landscaping and repaving the street.
