Woman charged with drug offense

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A Martinsburg woman has been charged with a drug offense after crack cocaine was sold to a police informant Thursday in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Martinsburg City Police said.

Elizabeth Sarah Miller, 28, of 221 W. Martin St., was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, police said in a prepared release.

Miller was taken to the Eastern Regional Jail, where she was being held Friday morning on $25,000 bond, jail officials said.

On Thursday, Martinsburg officers conducted a controlled purchase of narcotics utilizing a confidential informant. During the course of the investigation, the informant met with a woman and conducted a transaction in which the woman provided crack cocaine to the informant in exchange for money, police said.
