Three face drug charges in Hagerstown

Three people were arrested on drug charges Monday when authorities with a warrant entered a home on Noland Drive in Hagerstown, according to the Washington County Narcotics Task Force.

Police said they found drugs and paraphernalia inside 1012B Noland Drive.

When officers tried to get inside, Thomas E. Peterson and Jason Eon Noel tried to run out the back door, but were caught, the task force said in a news release.

Four other people were inside the home: 22-year-old Tiffany Marie Smith, a 17-year-old girl and two small children.

The task force said Smith and Peterson, 22, both residents of the home, were charged with possession of crack cocaine, marijuana and Klonopin, a drug used to treat seizure and panic disorders, as well as two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

In addition, Peterson - who was listed as having a second address at 8916 Lums Lane in Boonsboro - was charged with possession of heroin and Smith was charged with maintaining a common nuisance.

Noel, 23, of 367 S. Second St., Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said Noel had numerous small bags of heroin and $854.
