"I find it comforting that our president-elect is not obsessed with guns and killing. That is a definite asset when you have your hand on the button for nuclear weapons."

"God bless the lady or man who was trying to feed the stray cats in Hagerstown, and it is pretty bad when somebody destroys the food dishes. This is a message for these so-called religious people out there. Just remember, God made those cats just as well as He made you, and you put them in our care. Just remember that."

"A really sad thing happened the other day, but the story does have a good ending. Someone that I know was taking the trash out from work and loading it into a Dumpster by the building. All of a sudden she heard a little cat meowing, and somebody had dumped off a small kitten inside a Dumpster, and it was alive. The good news for the story is that this person adopted the kitten and gave it a home. But how cruel - if you don't want your pets or you don't want a stray, take it to the Humane Society of Washington County."

"I've just been watching 'Extreme Home Makeover' on CMT tonight, and they are showing Louisiana and Biloxi, Miss., where the hurricane destroyed everything, and these people are desperate for help. So if we can bail out the big banks and the big four car dealers, why can't we send some money (there)?"

"I'm glad to see President-elect Obama appointing a lot of Clintonites; well-qualified and experienced people for important posts. That's better than George Bush did. ... Just look at who led FEMA during the Katrina disaster, Michael Brown. That was a real qualified person for that post. And as far as Dick Cheney, he couldn't lead a group of teenagers through Wyoming to pick his beer bottles and cigarette butts up along the highway."

"This is a compliment for the Williamsport Red Men club. On Thanksgiving Day, they hosted a dinner for $5. The dinner was very nice. I enjoyed the food, enjoyed the companionship of my family. The only thing I think they need to do is have the customers coming straight in, instead of winding in and out and through the people that's already seated and eating. Otherwise, it was great. Thanks, guys."

"I know this isn't feasible, but I think everyone who waited in line for stores to open on Black Friday and then literally ran over the other people to get to the stuff should be denied any stimulus package that might be passed in the future. Apparently all they need for stimulus is $100 off a flat-screen TV."

"I didn't vote for Obama, but ... I think he could truly unite this country, if we got rid of these subtitles for everybody; African-American, Irish-Americans, all these nations of origin followed by the word 'Americans.' Now we have Indian-Americans; because of all the shootings over in India right now. Unite the country. We are Americans, period. I don't care where you're from. If you're an American citizen, that's fine with me. This would be a great challenge, I believe. I hope the man's up to it."

"I was reading about that Wal-Mart worker that was killed on Black Friday because of the shoppers. ... If people can't act like adults and be civil about it, they really need to stop the Black Friday sales. That's ridiculous that somebody has to lose their life or get in fights because of it."
