Washington Township offices go modular

December 03, 2008

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- The Washington Township municipal offices were expanded by nearly 1,000 square feet on Tuesday when modular additions were delivered.

A tractor-trailer backed each half onto the existing building, allowing workers to then place cinderblocks underneath and level the structures.

The township supervisors purchased the Anchor Modular Buildings for $68,000. The supervisors looked at several options for a larger municipal complex, but ultimately purchased the modular buildings as a way to hold off on any major construction projects.
