CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Pamela J. Thompson, 64, of Charles Town, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Born Jan. 28, 1944, in Jamaica, she was the daughter of the late Boggo Johnson and Olive Gilmore Johnson.

She was a supervisor for Fairfax County Schools.

She was a member of Rock Spring Church in Charles Town, where she was active on the church hospitality team and in any area of church preparedness where she was able to serve.

She is survived by her husband, Clayton Thompson, at home; two daughters, Sylvia Williams-Baffoe of Kennesaw, Ga., and Tamesha Thompson of Charles Town; one son, Brian Thompson of Charles Town; one sister, Rose Shaw; two brothers, Neville and Radley Scott; three grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


Services will be Sunday at noon at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, Charles Town/Harpers Ferry. Pastor Mike Lowery will officiate. Burial will be in National Memorial Park, Falls Church, Va.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
