Greetings, neighbors!

Hope your Thanksgiving was all you hoped it would be. There are a couple of neat events going on this Saturday in town.

Book signing

Turn The Page Bookstore Cafe will host a holiday book signing Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Nora Roberts will sign "Pagan Stone," the final book in the "Sign of Seven" trilogy.

Other authors attending will include J.D. Robb, Gail Barrett, Kathryn Caskie, Elaine Fox and Dolly Nasby.

Turn The Page is at 18 N. Main St., Boonsboro.

Organ restoration

Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ will host a celebration of the centennial anniversary of its newly restored 1908 Moller two-manual tracker organ.

The celebration will take place at the church Saturday at 3 p.m. and will feature a number of accomplished musicians. The public is invited to attend.

A freewill offering will be collected to benefit the organ restoration fund.  Refreshments will be served immediately following the event.

For more information, call the church office at 301-432-2247.

Craft sale

The Fahrney-Keedy Home, at 8507 Mapleville Road just outside Boonsboro, will host K&J Marketing Monday, Dec. 8, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the auditorium.

Jewelry and other items will be sold, with no items priced more than $6.  All proceeds will benefit the home.

Youth trip

Nine local teens are on a journey of faith, growth and awareness as they prepare to attend Jesus, Justice and Jazz, a national Lutheran youth gathering and mission trip in New Orleans in July.

On Friday, they took a collection of loose change from friends, family and the congregation of Trinity Lutheran Church to deposit into their travel account at Hagerstown Trust.

Their collection efforts netted more than $400. Other activities and fundraisers are planned.
