Woman donates dog beds to Humane Society

November 30, 2008

The holiday season was in full swing when the staff at the Humane Society of Washington County was greeted Nov. 20 by Charlene Hutzell, who came to donate 10 plush dog beds to the shelter.

Hutzell, owner of Charlene's Creations, said she was very happy to donate the beds.

"I just love dogs and I wanted to be able to help," she said, adding, "I will be in with some more."

Known for making children's items and designer doggie apparel, Charlene's Creations has found a niche by making specialty and made-to-order items. The dog beds range in sizes and all are washable and made of high-quality fabrics.

Anyone interested in donating to the shelter can go to www.hswcmd.org on the Web and view a wish list for items needed at the shelter. All donations are accepted and appreciated.
