Whilbr offers new online collection

Whilbr, the historical Web site of Western Maryland Regional Library, has added a new collection: "Hagerstown Photographs from World War II" at www.whilbr.org.

During World War II, the citizens of Hagerstown produced a foldout postcard booklet to send to Washington County servicemen and women. The bus and train station were pictured as well as West Washington Street, the Public Square, churches, Court House, City Park, and the race track.

The collection may be viewed at www.whilbr.org/Hagerstown1944/index.aspx.
