November 29, 2008|By MATTHEW UMSTEAD

BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - A southern Berkeley County business was robbed Friday afternoon, the second time that the business has been robbed this month, according to a Berkeley County Sheriff's Department press release.

A white male wearing a mask entered the Hot Spot Cafe at 12734 Winchester Ave. in Bunker Hill and took an undisclosed amount of money, Deputy M.T. Hudson said.

The suspect was armed in the robbery, which was reported to the county's 911 emergency dispatch at 3:18 p.m., Hudson said. He declined to elaborate on how the man was armed.

The robber fled on foot and traveled north on Winchester Avenue, Hudson said.

Deputies were unable to locate the suspect after searching the area, Hudson said.

On Nov. 12, the sheriff's department said a black male with a stocky build entered the Hot Spot Cafe about 9:30 a.m. and demanded cash from the clerk.

The robber then forced the clerk into a restroom, where she was told to stay until he left, police said. She was not injured.
