To Obama's critics: Get over it; he won

To the editor:

It's amazing. It has been about two weeks since the election, and the letters to the editor concerning President-elect Barack Obama are pouring in. People are complaining about who he associates with, and who he has associated with in the past.

They continuously speak of his inexperience, and some even blame him for the state of the economy.

My advice to you is, "get over it." The American people have spoken and he is going to be the president for the next four years (hopefully eight). It's time to forget the past and look to the future. Stop your whining and ask yourself, "What I can do to help this nation go forward? What can I do to effect the change that our country is so badly in need of?"

President-elect Obama has not taken office and some are ready to count him a failure, and others are looking forward to his downfall. At least give him a chance.

There is a saying that I am reminded of, "If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem."

God bless America.
