Day-care center seeks donations

November 28, 2008

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Shepherdstown Day Care Center is helping local families provide for their children during the holidays in the face of tough economic conditions.

During the SDC Re-Wrap program, the day-care center is seeking donations of gently used toys, clothing and books for children. All items must be clean and in working order.

The SDC Re-Wrap event will be held for day-care families and staff the week of Dec. 15. One night will be for "shopping" with vouchers and another night will be for purchasing items with cash, according to a news release from the center.

The day-care center is looking for help in setting up storage space for items. Items also can be brought to the center on East German Street from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1, 5, 8, 10 and 12.
