Happy Thanksgiving

From the West Family to yours, we wish you a happy Thanksgiving. May you and your family be surrounded by those you love, have plenty to be thankful for and have a wonderful day.

West Hagerstown Lions Club

The West Hagerstown Lions Club will be wrapping packages at Borders at various times starting Friday. The club will also be ringing The Salvation Army bell at Kmart on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The West Hagerstown Lions and the Longmeadow Lions Clubs will hold a Christmas dinner Monday at the Washington Square United Methodist Church. Social time is at 6 p.m. Each member will be bringing two toys for The Salvation Army.

The club will be serving pancakes and saugages at Girls Inc. Saturday, Dec. 6, from 7 to 11 a.m. Santa will be giving out treats for the children from 9 to 10 a.m. There will also be a Christmas crafts table.


West Hagerstown Senior Citizens Club

The West Hagerstown Senior Citizens Club will meet Dec. 11 at Grace United Methodist Church on the corner of Winter and Church streets.

The meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. with a Christmas lunch being served by members of Grace United Methodist Church. The members will sing Christmas carols.

Club members are asked to bring food items for the food pantry at Grace United.

Humane Society offering Santa photos with pets

Santa Claus will be at Long Meadow Shopping Center Dec. 8 and 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. for a picture taking session with area pets. The cost will be $5 per photo. Santa can be found at Center Court at the shopping center, at 1557 Potomac Ave. in Hagerstown.
