Marvin Richard Miller, 68, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at his home.

Born Feb. 2, 1940, in Rohrersville, he was the son of the late Leonard Maxwell and Lovetta Poffenberger Miller.

He graduated from Boonsboro High School.

He retired from Mack Trucks in 1995, where he was a senior cost analyst.

He was involved with the PASS Program in Morgan County, a volunteer with Starting Points Soup Kitchen and a former fiscal director at the Senior Center in Berkeley Springs.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Searle Miller, at home; two daughters, Laura A. Tengeres of Hagerstown and Julie R. Monniger of Clear Spring; one son, David R. Miller of Hagerstown; one sister, Thelma Maught of Jefferson, Md.; one brother, Robert Miler of Hagerstown; one granddaughter; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Miller, and one brother, Harold Miller.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs. Pastor John W. Schildt will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rohrersville.

The family will receive friends Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
