BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Catherine Virginia Kesecker Lutman, 90, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.

Born Feb. 24, 1918, in the Sleepy Creek section of Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Roy M. and Helena Warrenfeltz Kesecker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd J. Lutman.

She was a 1937 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

She owned and operated Mt. View Orchard Inc. in Berkeley Springs.

She was a member of Morgan County Farm Bureau.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet M. Lutman of Berkeley Springs and Nancy L. Hendershot of Hedgesville, W.Va.; one son, Gary Wayne Lutman of Hedgesville; one sister, Gladys Butts of Berkeley Springs; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Emory Hessler; and three brothers, Nelson Kesecker, Perry Kesecker and Kenneth Kesecker.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Sleepy Creek.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, and one hour prior to services at the church. The funeral home will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. today.
