Heroin, cocaine seized in Martinsburg

N.J. man arrested

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. --Police confiscated 40 to 50 packets of heroin and more than 10 packets of crack cocaine from a New Jersey man found sleeping at a hotel in Martinsburg on Monday.

Charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substances, Jomo K. Morris of Newark, is in Eastern Regional Jail on $100,000 cash-only bond set by Berkeley County Magistrate Jim Humphrey in an arraignment hearing, according to magistrate court and jail records.

The drugs were found by police on a night stand and table in Room 319 at the Days Inn at 209 Viking Way, according to a complaint filed by Martinsburg Police Department patrolman D.L. English.

Morris, 19, was the only person found in the hotel room when police arrived to execute a search warrant, according to police.
