November 23, 2008

A home on South Cannon Avenue in Hagerstown was damaged Sunday when the second floor caught on fire.

Four people were home when the home at 348 S. Cannon Ave. caught on fire, said Hagerstown Fire Marshal Douglas DeHaven. It was unclear whether the family would be able to live there after the blaze.

DeHaven said the cause was accidental. No injuries were reported.

Hagerstown firefighters were assisted at the scene by the Washington County Air Unit and Community Rescue Services Inc.

The fire was restricted to the second floor and is still being investigated by the fire marshal, DeHaven said.
