Smithsburg Lions hold annual Vision Days

The Smithsburg Lions Club conducted its annual Vision Days promotion Oct. 24 and 25 at the Smithsburg Food Lion.

Members distributed candy to patrons and collected donations for the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

The Wilmer Eye Institute has long been recognized for bringing together ophthalmologists consistently ranked by their peers as among the finest internationally, with a specially trained and highly experience team of nurses. Many of the researchers are involved in developing new treatments for eye diseases, diagnosis and treatment. Eye services are comprehensive and include cataract removal, strabismus repair, glaucoma correction, etc. Complete preoperative and postoperative care, as well as patient education are provided.

The Smithsburg Lions Club serves the surrounding communities.
