The PNC Bank at 128 W. Washington St. in downtown Hagerstown was robbed Friday about 1:30 p.m., Hagerstown Police Chief Arthur Smith said.

No one was injured and no weapons were displayed in the robbery, Smith said.

After taking money from a teller, the robber fled through the back door carrying a white trash bag full of money, according to a Hagerstown Police Department press release.

The robber is described as a clean-shaven young white male. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build, police said.

The robber was wearing a gray "South Pole" hooded sweat shirt with a black hood and black stripe down each arm. He also was wearing baggy blue jeans, black footwear and dark gloves, police said.
