Fire reported on Taylors Landing Road

FAIRPLAY -- Firefighters from four different companies responded at a fire Friday night at 16867 Taylors Landing Road, according to 911 dispatchers.

The fire, which was reported at 9:08 p.m., drew personnel from Fairplay, Sharpsburg, Boonsboro and Williamsport, as well as a number of ambulances and a Maryland state fire marshal. The Washington County Rehab Unit also was called to the scene.

As of 10:15 p.m., no one had been taken from the scene in an ambulance, dispatchers said.

Representatives from the American Red Cross also were sent to the scene, dispatchers said.

Further details were not available late Friday.

Items taken from Dublin Twp. home

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. -- Several items were stolen from a home earlier this month about one mile north of Sheepskin Hollow Road in Dublin Township, according to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg.

The theft occurred between Nov. 12 and 19 after a thief or thieves broke into the home, police said. Among the items stolen were a set of dishes, a cigar box full of baseball cards and two Lionel model train sets, police said.
