PULASKI, Va. -- Valentina Wheeler had 15 points and four assists, and sister Veronica Wheeler added 11 points, six steals and five assists as Hagerstown Community College routed New River Community College.

Cara Thompson had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Hawks (3-4), who raced to a 51-10 halftime lead over New River (0-2) and won the rebounding battle, 50-24. Miranda Payne had seven steals and five assists, and Amy Rhoderick added six blocks.

Mannick makes All-WVIAC squad

University of Charleston sophomore Jena Mannick, a 2007 graduate of South Hagerstown, was named to the All-West Virginia Conference squad as an honorable mention defender.
