Discussions continue on sale of War Memorial Hospital

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. -- The Morgan County Commission still is in discussions with Valley Heath regarding the sale of War Memorial Hospital.

County attorney Richard Gay met Friday with the commission in executive session to discuss the matter.

Commission President Glen R. Stotler said after the meeting that the commission still is negotiating with Valley Health of Winchester, Va., which manages the county-owned hospital.

Commissioner Thomas R. Swaim said the meeting with West Virginia University Hospitals and United Health Systems that was scheduled for Nov. 17 was postponed by the commission upon the advice of legal counsel.
