County library conducts food drive

The Washington County Free Library Staff Association canned food drive is under way.

Donations of nonperishable food can be dropped off at the Central Library at 100 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown, or at any of its community branches through Friday, Dec. 12.

Memorial service to remember loved ones

Join the members of Ebenezer AME Church Sunday for its annual memorial service.

This service is a time of reflection of loved ones who have passed away. A pictorial/musical DVD presentation is planned.

Craft show this weekend

The annual Kris Kringle Craft Show will be held Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. at Hager-stown Community College in the ARCC.

Admission and parking will be free. A free golf cart shuttle will be available. Shopping bags will be given to the first 10,000 shoppers.


Volunteers are needed and student service hours are available.

Party to benefit Toys for Tots effort

On Saturday, Nov. 29, there will be an oldies party to assist Toys for Tots at the Knights of Columbus, 326 E. Garfield Street, Chambersburg, Pa. The event will be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Take a ride and help make this event a success as well as helping the kids.
