QUINCY, Pa. - Clifford A. Miller, 90, of Quincy Village and 11791 Pen Mar Road, No. 3 in Waynesboro, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at the nursing home.

Born Dec. 2, 1917, in Louisville, Ky., he was the son of the late John F. and Dora M. Brunner Miller.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helena Katherine Bridwell Miller, on June 3, 2008. They were married Nov. 12, 1949.

He was self-employed in the roofing business for more than 30 years. He retired in 1982.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Ennis of Fairfield, Pa.; one sister, Patricia Thomas of Louisville; two granddaughters; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Brown and Adele Wallace; two brothers, Albert Miller and Raymond Miller; and two half brothers.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Rev. John A. Ile will officiate. Burial will follow in Harbaugh Church Cemetery near Rouzerville, Pa., with military graveside honors by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 of Chambersburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
