ST. THOMAS, Pa. - William P. Williams, 73, formerly of 102 Springwood Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Sept. 27, 1935, in Blairs Mills, Pa., he was the son of the late Irvin T. and Mary E. Smith Williams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole J. McClure Williams, in 1988.

He was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa., as an artillery repairman, retiring after 28 years of service.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of West Side Brethren in Christ Church near Chambersburg.

He attended the senior center in Fort Loudon, Pa.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Beth Bickle of East Waterford, Pa.; two sisters, Ruth Snyder of Hanover, Pa., and Martha Yohn of Blairs Mills; four brothers, Richard Williams of East Waterford, Thomas Williams of Three Springs, Pa., Eugene Williams of Lewistown, Pa., and Irvin Williams of Scotland, Pa.; and three stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna S. Williams.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, Dry Run, Pa. Pastor James Sollenberger will officiate. Burial will follow in Upper Path Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
