Shepherd 77, Cheyney 65

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Krissy Grosselin led all scorers with 18 points, while Camille Wilmer added 17 to lead Shepherd past Cheyney 77-65 Wednesday for the Rams' first victory of the season.

Katie Warehime had 11 points and nine rebounds, Anna Kauffman added 11 points and eight boards and Jerica Hewett recorded nine assists for the Rams (1-2).


Slippery Rock 79, Shepherd 69

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Justin Jarman led Shepherd with 20 points and eight rebounds but the Rams shot just 38.6 percent from the floor (22-of-57) in their loss to Slippery Rock.


Liki Turner had 15 points and six rebounds for the Rams (0-3).


Charity golf tournament

The Locust Hill Golf Course and Jefferson County Community Ministries are hosting the Inaugural Turkey Shoot Four Man Scramble Golf Tournament on Saturday in Charles Town, W.Va., starting at 10 a.m. The entry fee for the tournament is a 10-pound or greater frozen turkey and $20.
