Baby sitter training offered by Red Cross
The Washington County Chapter of the American Red Cross, at 1131 Conrad Court in Hagerstown, will hold a baby sitter boot camp course Dec. 29 to 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The three-day course costs $100. Financial Aid is available. Space is Limited. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch.
The purpose of the course is to provide individuals, ages 11 to 15, with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care; safety and safe play. The student's will also learn child and infant CPR along with standard first aid.
The students will receive a baby sitter's training handbook, a baby sitters training emergency reference guide, a baby sitters training CD-ROM, and a baby sitters backpack.
