November 19, 2008

Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship's Family Ministry Center, at 14010 Greencastle Pike in Hagerstown, will hold its second annual Home Party Holiday Shopping Extravaganza on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 3 to 6 p.m.

This year, they are requesting attendees bring a nonperishable food item and/or pet food or supplies that will be donated to the food bank or the Humane Society of Washington County respectively.

Event organizer and Tastefully Simple Representative Nicole Row is looking forward to the event. "This is the second year we are holding this event and we are anticipating a great turnout," she said. "This year, the event will help the food bank, the Humane Society of Washington County and any additional funds we raise will help us with a mission we are planning to the Dominican Republic in 2010."

The event is open to the public and entry is free. It will feature home based businesses with numerous gift items for sale. There will be door prizes and food available. The animal shelter will have an informational table set up at the event.
