HAGERSTOWN - The North Hagerstown Lions sold out of barbecue chicken dinners at a fundraiser Sunday in the parking lot of Always Ron's to benefit Holly Place, President Bo Perrow said.
The group sold about 450 dinners starting at 9 a.m., Perrow said. They ran out at about 3 p.m., he said.
The dinners consisted of a half chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and a roll for a minimum $6 donation. Many people gave more, Perrow said.
"We feel that it was very much a success," he said, adding that the group could probably have sold at least 25 more.
