MARCH 5, 1915-OCT. 19, 2008 John Young, 93, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008 at his residence. Born March 5, 1915, in Dumbarton, Scotland, he was the son of the late Joseph Sheridan and Flora (Stuart) Young. He was a graduate of New York University. He worked as an aeronautical engineer at Fairchild, in Hagerstown and also lovingly designed, built, owned and worked at Beaver Creek Country Club in Hagerstown for 53 years. He was member of A.F. & A.M. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jane S. Young; one daughter, Elizabeth S. (Young) Callan of Hagerstown; two sons, James M. Young of Mount Airy, Md., and John S. Young; one sister, Bunty Turner of Seattle, Wash.; and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Duncan and Stewart Young, both of Scotland. Graveside services were held at the convenience of the family in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. Beloved, eternally remembered, already missed so very, very much! Anam Cara - We love you Daddy!!
