HANCOCK - For the past 10 or 11 years, Larry Gerber Sr. has been attending the Veterans Day program at Hancock Middle-Senior High School.
"But this year's program was one of the nicer ones I've seen," Gerber said.
"Students Saluting Veterans" was a joint effort of the Hancock American Legion and the school.
The program opened with the Hancock Panther Band playing the "American Heroes March," followed by remarks from Principal Eric Michael.
Jill Helmstetter, vice president of the Student Government Association (SGA) at the school, presented a welcome from the students, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Olivia Funk, president of the SGA.
A vocal performance by guidance counselor Doc Holliday led to remarks by vice principal Larry Smith and Karly Logsdon, a senior class representative.
