During the summer, some Heritage Academy students volunteered their time to spread the message of Jesus Christ to the community. The eighth- to 12th-graders traveled to their destinations eager to overcome any obstacles they might meet.
Kathleen Kidd, Grace O'Brien, Stephanie O'Brien, Stephen Brewer and J.R. Dudeck spent time working at Good News Camp in Waynesboro, Pa. In addition, Dudeck started his own camp, named Kids For Christ. He had lots of support from friends and family. Some of the people who helped were Heritage students, including Kayla Kriner, Megan Smetzer and Jonathon Kriner.
Senior Seth Brewer went to Miracle Mountain Ranch near Erie, Pa., and for 11 weeks helped with construction projects, including building a riding arena and a new operations center.
Because of volunteers like these students, ministries are able to devote more time to teaching children about Christ's gift of salvation.
