The Smiths



Judson and Janet Smith celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise party on June 14, 2008, at the Plaza Hotel in Hagerstown. The party was hosted by their two sons and daughter-in-law, Curtis Smith of Williamsport, and Neil and Kelly Smith of Aurora, Ohio. Approximately 75 guests attended from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Florida.

The Smiths were married on June 21, 1958, at the Presbyterian Church in Mercersburg, Pa., by the Rev. Vincent Wilson.

Mrs. Smith is the former Janet L. Wolfe, daughter of the late Gilbert and Evelyn Wolfe. Mr. Smith is the son of the late Norman and Edna Smith.

Mr. Smith was a salesman and retired from Maryland Metals Inc. in 1999. He also worked for Wright Gardner, Baltimore Life and Peoples Life insurance companies.

Mrs. Smith retired from Mack Trucks in 2001 as an expeditor/planner and previously had worked at Fairchild Aircraft.

The Smiths live in the Williamsport area.

They have three grandchildren.

The Kelleys



Bill and Mary Alice Kelley of Clear Spring were honored at a surprise 50th wedding anniversary party at the Clear Spring American Legion on May 18, 2008.

The celebration was hosted by their daughter, Lori, and their son Brad Kelley and his wife MaDonna. Also assisting with the celebration were the Kelley's three grandchildren.

Mrs. Kelley is the former Mary Alice Hawbaker, daughter of the late Crist and Hazel Hawbaker. She retired from Washington County Board of Education, having worked with the Title 1 program at Greenbrier and Conococheague elementary schools.

Mr. Kelley is the son of the late Charles and Laura Kelley. He retired from the Washington County Board of Education as shop foreman in the transportation department.

Mr. and Mrs. Kelley were married on May 17, 1958, at St. John's Reformed Church in Clear Spring by the Rev. J. Wade Huffman, now deceased.

The Reichards



Judy and James Reichard of Falling Waters, W.Va., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at Paramount Baptist Church, Hagerstown. They were married on Oct. 12, 1958 at the Manor Church of The Brethern by Mr. Rowland's father, the Rev. J. Rowland Reichard, now deceased.

Mrs. Reichard is the former Judith Ann Foltz. She is the daughter of the late Clara E. and Ross H. Foltz. She is retired from the department of the Army and is employed by General Dynamics Information Technology Inc.

Mr. Reichard is retired from Moller Pipe Organs and is a farmer. He also is the son of the late M. Katherine Martin Reichard.

They have one son, Michael C. Reichard of Williamsport and one daughter, Lynne S. Hess of Falling Waters. They have two grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
