CUMBERLAND. Md. -- Hancock scored more points against Bishop Walsh than it had in its previous eight games combined, but the result was still the same -- a Panthers loss.

Joey True ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns and Nick Lanehard was 11-of-23 passing for 106 yards and two TDs for Hancock (0-9) in the season finale.

Myles Clifford scored five touchdowns -- two rushing, two on kick returns and one receiving -- for Bishop Walsh. Two of his scores came in the final 47 seconds of the second quarter, giving his team a 25-6 lead at halftime.

"Until those plays in the first half, it was anybody's game," Hancock coach Dave Mahaffey said. "We were quickly down 25-6, but we didn't quit. We did a great job offensively all day. The line and the lead blockers in the backfield opened things up for the runners."

Tommy Kratz and Ryan Poole each had touchdown catch, Alex Bishop returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score and Eli Souders had eight catches for 70 yards for the Panthers.

"Although we moved the ball on offense the best we've done all year -- we had two drives of over 60 yards -- we weren't wrapping up the runners and our tackling was poor," Mahaffey said. "They're a physical team and you must contain them."
