Lincolnshire Elementary recognizes students



Students at Lincolnshire Elementary were recognized for Character Counts! traits for the month of September. Students were honored for displaying the six pillars of character. For their efforts, the students received a certificate, pencil, eraser and bookmark. Students and parents were also treated to an ice cream party.

The students are as follows:

Prekindergarten - Roman Cerezo, Izabell Ortiz, Nathan Clingan, Julie Mills

Pancake breakfast



Halfway Cub Scout Pack 36 will host a pancake breakfast Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Virginia Avenue. Doors open at 7 a.m. Breakfast will be served until 11 a.m. For more information, call 301-223-8325.

Santa arrives



Could it be? Santa Claus making his way to Halfway? It is true. Santa will arrive at Valley Mall Saturday for the festivities. Raggedy Ann and Andy will be in the Sears Court of the mall for some "Toy Time Fun" at 9:45 a.m. Then, Santa arrives aboard the Valley Mall Express at 10 a.m. There will be a parade to Valley Mall Junction at Center Court for music, food and fun. Hager House



The Jonathan Hager House and Museum will hold a weekend of Hager House tours, scavenger hunt and colonial craftmaking. Events will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 16, from 1 to 5 p.m. Family admission costs $5. For more information, go to www.hagerhouse.org on the Web.

Gridiron Classic



The Gridiron Classic will be Friday at 7 p.m. at School Stadium at South Hagerstown High School. This is the annual football game between the North Hagerstown High Hubs and the South Hagerstown High Rebels.

At the end of the game, the mayor will present the trophy to the winning team to be kept at their school throughout the year.
