Tobacco cessation courses to be offered in Hancock

HANCOCK - The Washington County Health Department is sponsoring a series of tobacco cessation courses in November and early December, all at Hancock Town Hall in the community rooms from 2 to 3 p.m.

Courses will be held Mondays including Nov. 10, 17, 24 and Dec. 1.

On Thursdays, classes are planned for Nov. 13 and 20 and Dec. 4. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, there also will be one class on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Cessation aids such as nicotine replacement therapy patches and Chantix are available to eligible county residents while supplies last.
