Election Day

Vote, vote, vote. Did I make myself clear? I cannot imagine not heading over to the polls today to making my voice count.

Gridiron Classic

This week has already turned into a race to get things done. Let's see what else we have on our "to do' lists that we can hopefully cross off.

Big game Friday night. The Gridiron Classic ... South Hagerstown High School Rebels host the North Hagerstown Hubs. This should prove to be an awesome game. The game will be played at School Stadium with kickoff at 7 p.m.

This Thursday is the South Hagerstown High School PTA meeting at 6 p.m.

The PTA is in desperate need of a fundraising chair. Maybe you are just the person to help out. A quick reminder that yearbooks are going on sale soon, so order yours early.

Fall bazaar

Looking ahead, make a note that St. Matthew's Lutheran Church on Beaver Creek Church Road will have its fall bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church's social room.

There will be yard sale items, food and craft items including Christmas-themed crafts.

Also available will be soups, sandwiches, baked goods and drinks.

Birthday week

This is birthday week in our house or at least in our family. Happy birthday to our most precious granddaughter, Miss Asia, who will be 4 on Friday. She is sandwiched between my birthday on Nov. 6 and my husband's on Nov. 8. Asia is quite the big sister and absolutely a blessing from God.
