Gridiron Classic

The annual Hagerstown Gridiron Classic between North Hagerstown High School's Hubs and the Rebels of South Hagerstown High School will be played Friday at 7 p.m. at South High's School Stadium.

At the end of the football game, Hagerstown Mayor Robert Bruchey will present the trophy to the winning team to be kept at their school throughout the year.

Bus trip

A bus trip is planned Nov. 29 to Merriweather Post Pavilion for the Symphony of Lights.

Craft show

The annual Kris Kringle Craft Show will be held Nov. 22 and 23 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. at Hagerstown Community College in the ARCC.

Admission and parking will be free. A free golf cart shuttle will be available. Shopping bags will be given to the first 10,000 shoppers.

Volunteers are needed and student service hours are available.

Tuesday - Guest Speaker Bob Poor will talk about "Freedom Through Functionality."

Card party

A card party and luncheon will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Women's Club to help with the upkeep and maintanence of the club's historic building. Tickets cost $12, which includes lunch and door prizes. Any kind of card or board game can be played, or come just for lunch.

Garden Club

The Crossroads Garden Club will have its annual fundraiser, the Greens Show, on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $10, which includes door prizes, refreshments and a program on holiday decorating by floral designer Denny Warrenfeltz, owner of Roostervane Gardens in Funkstown.

Treasure Sale

The Singer Society of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts will hold its ninth annual Treasure Sale on Saturday.

Items are being accepted for the sale. If you have "treasures" you no longer want - artworks, china, crystal, silver, furniture, rugs, games, costume jewelry - anything but clothing and appliances, bring them to the museum or call 301-739-5727 for pickup service. All donations are tax-deductible.

The preview reception will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission to the preview costs $10 and includes refreshments.

The Treasure Sale will be Saturday from 10 a.m. 3 p.m.

Discovery Station

Saturday - Colleen Middour will talk about "Creating Holiday Notecards" at 2 p.m. at Discovery Station in downtown Hagerstown.
