Masked man robs BP/Rocs

MARLOWE, W.Va. - An armed robbery was reported Friday night at the BP/Rocs gas station in Marlowe, according to a Berkeley County Sheriff's Department press release.

A man wearing a mask robbed the store at gunpoint about 11 p.m., deputies said. The man took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and fled, deputies said.

Sheriff's department deputies, along with a K-9 unit from the Martinsburg Police Department, checked the area for the suspect, but were unable to find him, deputies said.

The robber is described as a white man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, deputies said. He was wearing a dark blue jumpsuit, deputies said.

The clerk was not injured, deputies said.
