October 30, 2008

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, a portion of South Potomac Street will be closed to all traffic in conjunction with the Wind Down Friday event at the Maryland Theatre.

The city anticipates that the street will be reopened to traffic at 11 p.m. Friday, according to a release from the City of Hagerstown.

South Potomac Street will be closed to all vehicles between Washington Street and Antietam Street. This section of South Potomac Street will remain open to pedestrian traffic, and motorists will still be able to access the Arts & Entertainment District parking deck, the release says.

Traffic approaching this closure will be forced to detour around the area via East Washington Street, South Mulberry Street, and Antietam and Baltimore Streets.
