A story about a shooting in Hagerstown on page A1 of Saturday's Herald-Mail incorrectly described what a woman was doing when she heard shots fired. The woman said she was letting her dogs in when she heard the shots.




Due to a source's error, the date of an upcoming financial seminar at Hagerstown Community College was incorrectly listed on page A6 of Monday's Herald-Mail.

The free presentation, Making It Count's "Ultimate Money Skills: Scholars, Dollars, Budgets and Bills," will be Thursday, Nov. 20, at 3 p.m. in the Classroom Building auditorium.




Due to typing errors, the names of two members of Smithsburg High School's class of 1958 were misspelled in a story on the Neighbors page in Sunday's Herald-Mail. The correct spellings are Elise Wolfe and Marty West.

A photo caption on page A6 of Monday's Herald-Mail misidentified the two people in a photo serving french fries at Williamsport's Harvest Hoedown. The photo shows Earle R. Pereschuk Sr. and Gary Grimes.

The Herald-Mail apologizes for the mistakes.
