October 23, 2008

HALFWAY - No one was injured Wednesday night in a fire involving two vehicles and a carport, the Volunteer Fire Company of Halfway said.

The fire was reported about 6 p.m. at 17900 Oak Ridge Drive and took about half an hour to put out, a dispatcher said.

The fire damaged the vehicles and carport and caused minimal damage to a shed, but it did not spread to the house, Capt. Steve Teagarden said.

Fire marshals were investigating the fire and had not determined the amount of damage Wednesday night, Teagarden said.
