Ahhh, nothin' but net. The NBA starts its regular season Tuesday, Oct. 28, with two televised games, Cleveland at Boston at 8 p.m. and Portland at L.A. Lakers at 10:30 p.m., both on TNT.

The Washington Wizards play at home at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, against the New Jersey Nets on Antietam Cable's channel 46, Comcast Sportsnet.

Words to melt the heart



A dramatic reading of "Love Letters" will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at Washington County Musuem of Fine Arts. This Pulitzer Prize-winning play tells the story of a couple's relationship through a series of letters.

Going to pot



Form and function meet at an open house hosted by the Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies at Penn State Mont Alto and the Mont Alto Pottery Cooperative. Get ready to get dirty with this hands-on exhibit.
