October 23, 2008

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A Martinsburg man is in police custody this morning after a vehicle was used to break into a convenience store, Martinsburg Police said in a news release.

John Andrew Jollon, 44, of 214 Polo Green Drive, Apt. 53, was in Eastern Regional Jail awaiting arraignment on charges of breaking and entry, police said.

At 1:58 a.m., police were alerted to a burglar alarm at the Quick Check Convenience Store at 301 Rock Cliff Drive.

According to police, the store's surveillance system showed that a white Honda sedan was driven into the front door of the store, shattering the glass. The driver entered the store and was seen on the surveillance video in and around the counter area. The video showed him leaving the store when the alarm sounded. It appeared that nothing was taken from the store, police said.
