Three Hagerstown residents were taken to Washington County Hospital shortly before noon Friday following a two-vehicle accident at West Washington Street and Western Maryland Parkway.

Deputy 1st Class Jim Clay of the Washington County Sheriff's Department said the 11:37 a.m. accident involved a Toyota SUV that was southbound on Western Maryland Parkway and a Kia sedan traveling west on West Washington Street.

The driver of the Toyota, Zhi Ming Wu, 22, of 202 Avon Road, was alone in his vehicle, Clay said.

Edward Franklin Grove, 38, of 104 Elizabeth St., was at the wheel of the Kia. His passenger was Richard William Rodeffer, 28, of 945 Ross St., Clay said.

All three people were treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
