Josh Edwards had two goals and two assists as Hagerstown Community College finished its regular season with a convincing win over Chesapeake in Maryland JuCo Conference action.

Alex Manea had two goals for the Hawks (11-5-1, 6-5-1), who finished with a 23-3 advantage in shots. Tyler McKenrick had a goal and an assist, Kris Potter, Chris Reif and Mike Rohr each had a goal and Chris Lambert, Elet Hall and Vo San each added an assist in the victory. Harold Little and David McSherry combined for three saves in the shutout.

HCC will next play in the Region XX tournament.

Rockville forfeited the match, pushing HCC to 5-3 for the season.

Shepherd 3, Bowie State 2

BOWIE, Md. -- Julie Robertson led Shepherd with 12 kills, 20 digs and four aces as the Rams rallied to defeat Bowie State (12-9) in five, 25-20, 22-25, 24-26, 25-21, 15-7.

Erin King recorded 12 kills and 10 digs, Ryan Mills added 20 digs and Virginia Rogus had a team-high 25 assists for the Rams (8-16).

Johnson 11th in Baltimore

BALTIMORE -- Chris Johnson, a St. James graduate, recently placed 11th out of more than 6,000 runners at the Baltimore Half Marathon.

Johnson, 27, of Washington, D.C., covered the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour, 17 minutes, 45 seconds.
