Pedestrian injured when struck by car in Waynesboro
WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Waynesboro police on Tuesday released preliminary information about a pedestrian accident that occurred on North Grant Street at 4:45 p.m. Monday.
A female pedestrian told police she saw the Mercedes coming toward her but thought she could make it across the street near 228 N. Grant St., Police Chief Mark King said.
The pedestrian, who was not in a crosswalk when she was struck by the car, was taken to Waynesboro Hospital for a minor head injury, King said. The vehicle had hood damage, he said.
Also, a 15-year-old boy was hit on East Main Street at 7:15 p.m. last Friday. He was crossing from north to south in the crosswalk in front of Waynesboro Hospital, police said.
