Light the Night Walk set for Saturday

Light the Night Walk, the Leukemia Society's annual evening walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer, will be Saturday at Fairgrounds Park, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Since its inception in 2006, the Washington County community has raised more than $71,000 for this fundraiser.

Pancake breakfast

The Longmeadow Lions Club will hold its fall pancake breakfast Saturday at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown.

The menu includes pancakes, Hoffman sausage, orange juice, coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m.

Lions brooms and mints will also be for sale.

Eyeglasses and hearing aids will be collected for recycling.

World War II wine glasses to be given to families

The Last Man's Club of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 will be giving away wine glasses etched with the names of World War II veterans to their families on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the post home on Northern Avenue in Hagerstown.
