SALISBURY, Md. - Amanda Durski, daughter of Daniel and Jennifer of Cascade, was recently inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, the national freshman honor society at Salisbury University.

Durski graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown and is a sophomore at SU, majoring in elementary education.

She is also involved in intramural soccer, the school newspaper The Flyer and Campus Crusade for Christ.




SALISBURY, Md. - George Gibson, son of Mark and Lorraine Gibson of Frederick, Md., was recently inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, the national freshman honor society at Salisbury University.

Gibson graduated from St. John's at Prospect Hall High School in 2007 and is a sophomore, majoring in economics. He is a dean's list student and has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 12 years. In 2006, he attained the rank of Eagle Scout along with an award and is associated with Frederick Troop 247.

SALISBURY, Md. - Alanna Poole, daughter of Terry and Lois Keller-Poole of Walkersville, Md., was recently inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, the freshman honor society at Salisbury University.

Poole graduated from St. John's Catholic Preparatory School in Frederick, Md., and is a sophomore at SU, majoring in English.

She is also involved in Relay for Life and the Leash on Life Club.




HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. - Stuart Egerton Gray Kegan was among 13 students who graduated following the summer term at the end of the 233rd academic year at Hampden-Sydney College.

Stuart graduated with a B.A. in history. He is the son of Margaret W. van den Berg of Easton, Md., and James B. Kegan of St. Michaels, Md., and is a graduate of Saint James School.
